This study presents new lichen records from two urban green areas in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, contributing to Portugal's understudied mycobiota. A survey identified 64 species, including three new to Portugal and 21 new to the region. The findings underscore the lichenological richness of anthropized landscapes and highlight the value of citizen science initiatives, such as bioblitzes, in supporting biodiversity documentation.

This catalogue provides a comprehensive synthesis of the lichenicolous fungi known from Italy, based on historical literature, recent studies, and extensive fieldwork conducted since 2006. After a brief overview of the history of lichenicolous mycology in Italy – from its beginnings in the mid-19th century through periods of stagnation and renewed research ‒ the work presents two annotated lists. The main list includes 518 taxa of genuine, obligately non-lichenised lichenicolous fungi recorded in Italy, while a second list comprises 76 taxa that are facultatively lichenicolous, slightly lichenised, or taxonomically uncertain. For each taxon, host species in Italy, commonly used synonyms, and regional records are provided. The catalogue documents both the remarkable work of the early enthusiasts during the "Golden Age" and the substantial increase in known diversity over the last decades, placing Italy among the best-studied regions worldwide for lichenicolous fungi and accounting for more than one fifth of all obligately lichenicolous, non-lichenised fungi currently known globally.

This article was conducted as part of the hydroelectric power plant project planned for the Dimçayı basin in the Dim Valley (Antalya-Alanya), with the aim of identifying Chara specimens collected during expert fieldwork for the purpose of determining possible new taxa belonging to this genus in Türkiye. According to the findings, Chara squamosa has been recorded for the first time in the macrophyte flora of Türkiye. The species' habitat within the river system has been identified as a Channelmire type from a geomorphological-hydrological perspective; it is characterized by eutrophic vegetation cover in fast-flowing rivers. In light of these data, a contribution has been made to the ecology and sociology of the species classified as “Data Deficient (DD)” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Factors threatening the survival of the species include: the lack of comprehensive protection status for its habitat, tourism activities exceeding the area's carrying capacity, a significant decrease in the flow of natural streams reaching the sea due to the large amount of water retained by the dam, unconscious water use in agricultural activities carried out in the area, and the discharge of reservoir waste from the province of Alanya-Antalya into the stream.
