The chronological data on Merendera sobolifera in Bulgaria are presented together with the current status of 8 localities, two of which are new for the country. Species ecology, biology and manner of spatial dispersal have been studied , as well as the population structure of 3 investigated populations. Phytocoenological characteristics of 4 communities have been assessed. Some comments are given on the historical migration and distributionion of the species. An evaluation on of the human influence on the Merendera sobolifera populations has been made.
