Abstract

During weed surveys in irrigated crops in the Kenitra province of Morocco in 2024 and 2025, we found three new Poaceae weeds: Dinebra panicea subsp. mucronata, Diplachne fusca subsp. fascicularis, and Oryza punctata. At present, the three semi-aquatic taxa are naturalized and adapted to water-saturated conditions prevailing in rice and sugarcane fields. To facilitate their identification, this note provides a brief morphological description of each taxon, photographs, a distribution map, and data on ecology and habitats. These taxa are considered new alien records for the flora of Morocco.
