Genista demarcai found on ca1careous cliffs near Isnello (N. Sicily), is described and illustrated. This new species is a rare chasmophyte belonging to the G. ephedroides group. Its relationships wit_h G. gasparrinii_, G. tyrrhena and G. ephedroides are discussed.
