Abstract

A new species to science Festuca michaelis is proposed and described. This taxon occurs in the Iberolevantino woods of Quercus faginea Lam., under a supramediterranean bioclimate. This taxon is also compared 10 the close species Festuca gracilior (Hackel) Markgraf-Dannenberg and Festuca valentina (St-Yves) Markgraf-Dannenberg, both said to be found in the oriental quadrant of the Iberian Peninsula (Spain).
