Abstract
Two populations of Salvia willeana and seven of Salvia fruticosa were examined with respect to the morpho-anatomical and histochemical features of their root, stem, leaf, f1ower, glandular and aglandular hairs. No remarkable differences between the two species, either in the anatomy or in the structure and distribution of their different trichome types, were noted.
