The finding of Dichanthium annulatum (Forssk.) Stapf. In the territory of Adrano (E. Sicily) is reported. Morphological characters and ecology of this species, new IO Europe. are also given and compared with the D. insculptum (A. Rich.) Clayton ones, this latter taxon being native to Sicily.
